‘The next 7 o’clock session on 26th January will review and discuss the exhibition ‘Clear of People’ currently on at the Wilson Gallery until 4th February.
Photographer Michal Ivanowski recently repeated the long trek his grandfather and great uncle made in 1945 to flee Russia and get back to Poland. It was a harrowing trip – two companions died despite their best efforts to keep ‘Clear of People’.
Michal’s pictures are not quite what we’re used to, so let’s see what we make of them. He has let me copy the pictures for our discussion, which will be a great help.
Do come along on the 26th. And do get to the exhibition. ‘
